Hard Eight - Janet Evanovich In usual Stephanie Plum fashion this book is predictable, yet funny. In this one Stephanie decides to help Evelyn Soder’s grandmother. The grandmother is at the point of losing her home thanks to a child custody bond that Evelyn and her daughter bailed out on, but with good reason. In addition to Evelyn’s abusive ex-husband who is looking for her, Eddie Abruzzi, a nasty and violent businessman is also looking for them. Stephanie needs to find them before these do.

There were some funny moments, but this time I felt unsatisfied with the ending. The only thing I really liked was that Ranger was more prominent. All the Cuban yumminess made it worth it to me, but I really wish that Evanovich would up the steam factor a bit.
