A Kiss at Midnight - Eloisa James This is my second time reading an Eloisa James novel from her Fairy Tale series. I actually started with #2 When Beauty Tamed the Beast, which I thought was slighty better than this one. A Kiss at Midnight, however, provides a promising start to the series.

As you can guess this is a retelling of Cinderella. It's a fairy tale that is not a fairy tale, yet is very much a fairy tale. Does that make sense? lol. You'll have to read it to get that. There is no magic or actual fairies in this retelling, however, it still as enjoyable and magical. The plot line that James uses to get Kate to meet the prince is a bit of a stretch, but other than that I thought it was enjoyable. I really loved Kate's godmother Henrietta. She's quite a character and I wouldn't mind having a godmother like that. Overall, this book is light, funny and deliciously fun.
